For the following areas...
Cape Cod Bay...
Coastal waters east of Ipswich Bay and the Stellwagen Bank National
Marine Sanctuary...
Massachusetts Bay and Ipswich Bay...

At 312 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing waterspouts
was located near Wellfleet Harbor, moving southeast at 20 knots.

HAZARD...Waterspouts and wind gusts to 40 knots.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Waterspouts can easily overturn boats and create locally 
         hazardous seas. Small craft could be damaged in briefly 
         higher winds and suddenly higher waves.

Locations impacted include...
Wellfleet Harbor, Cape Cod Bay, North Eastham, and Manomet Point.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Thunderstorms can produce sudden waterspouts. Waterspouts can easily
overturn boats and create locally hazardous seas. Seek safe harbor
immediately.

Frequent lightning is occurring with this storm. If caught on the
open water stay below deck if possible, keep away from ungrounded
metal objects.
